Along with my daily cnn.com, foxnews.com and msnbc.com visits, I like to drop by digg.com once in a while and read the highly "dugg" articles. I stumbled upon this one today. I found it significant, not because its heavily blue (because blue does not accurately represent my beliefs either), but because it shows that the past ideas of what is considered the "real America" (ie. Joe the Plumber and Joe six pack) that Sarah Palin kept mentioning throughout the campaign are slowly disappearing from American ideologies.
It appears as though much of the younger population is embracing change and tolerance and rejecting the notion that the ideal America is portrayed by a white working class father, Susie homemaker wife, 2.3 kids and a dog (aka what schools should define and teach is a real family). They all attend church on Sunday and afterward gather around the TV and watch the game while the wife caters to her families grumbling tummies. That America is vanishing. And young people are beginning to realize that times are a-changin. Its refreshing.
